Tanner and I played this game for at least an hour one day. So much fun!
These are plus signs even though they look like multiplication....
However, there ARE multiplication and division with the 2nd level.
Luke wanted to play too... Loves the spinner.
Another game we recently acquired is The Allowance Game. Man, this is another good one. Jack and I played this forever yesterday and then after dinner Tanner, Sara and Jack all wanted to play it again so we did! The game suggests that you play to $20. The first one to $20 wins. Well, this happened too fast for Jack so we ended up playing until $75! (He won.) This game helps with money skills. You earn money, you spend money, you get your allowance, you can be the banker and make change. There is an opportunity to start your own lemonade stand, go to the movies, mow the lawn, spend money at the arcade, walk the neighbors dog, etc. Good times.
(There is also a reward for "Improved Report Card." This doesn't really apply to us since we're homeschooling...)
This last summer Sara and I went to a bunch of garage sales and I got this puzzle.
Luke is HUGE into puzzles right now and he LOVES this one! He is learning the different states where other members of our family live and is starting to learn the names of the states.
When we go to the library, I can hardly drag him away because they have a bunch of puzzles. It doesn't matter if we've been there for 5 minutes or 2 hours! I'm going to have to start going to different branches soon to find some new ones because he can whip these puzzles together in no time!
The math website we're using continues to be cool. Tanner has had some trouble with the way the school was teaching it and this site seems to be laying it out in a basic format that he can understand. Not to mention the fact that either I or my husband are spending one-on-one time with him daily for at least 30 minutes. Pretty sure the teachers couldn't afford him this kind of time. I love to see the sparkle in his eyes and joy on his face when he realizes that he "gets it"!
